  • The talk consists of two parts: Part 1 describes the protecting mechanisms of a new generation of anti-corrosion technology based on activated zinc, plus to set up the design criteria for a well working anticorrosive system. Part 2 reviews the current state of the art of the prevention of corrosion under insulation (CUI) in process equipment and pipework, the scope of use of such materials as referenced in NACE SP0198:2010 and recent technological developments in this area. In addition the talk will also touch briefly on current test methods for evaluating the performance of coatings in resisting CUI.
